The fifth grade reading group is finishing the novel, My Brother Sam is Dead, this week.  We will have several culminating activites including reading a play based on the novel, presentations of revolutionary era games designed by the students and a recitation of The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, to the other 5th grade classes.
Expect to see your student working on a final project that will be due Friday, December 4.

This week all math groups, 3rd- 5th, will be taking their end of unit math assessments.  Please check with your child to determine the exact date, although most groups will be given the test on Thursday.

Parents are invited to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 15 from 6-7pm in Mrs. Mechtly's classroom.  Come and learn about the identification process and the programming opportunities for gifted learners at Kilmer Elementary.  There will be a time for questioning at the end of the presentation.
